The Homestead at Ballandean Lodge

This 110-year-old timber homestead sits on six acres of olive groves with grapevines all around and mountain views stretching to Sundown National Park. The property sleeps eight across four bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. Three queen rooms open to wide verandahs, while the king room has a separate entrance and an antique claw-foot tub. High ceilings, tall sash windows and original timber details run throughout.

The kitchen's been fully updated and there's a wood-burning fireplace for cooler evenings. Outside you'll find an established orchard, planted gardens and an outdoor dining area with a stone barbecue and pizza oven. The region's wineries are all close by, and Girraween and Sundown national parks offer good hiking and cycling.
