Shaun and his partner have transformed this three-bedroom cottage into a welcoming retreat with genuine Italian country character, just a short walk from Stanthorpe's main street. The bathroom is a real highlight, featuring a deep bathtub, mosaic-tiled shower and beautiful old glasswork that catches the light from the garden. Inside you'll find thoughtful touches for relaxed evenings, including a record player, arcade games table and a good DVD selection by the fireplace.

The kitchen opens to a Mediterranean-style courtyard where you can dine outdoors among water features and handlaid brickwork. With air conditioning, heating and a well-equipped kitchen, the cottage suits families year-round. Pets are welcome, and there are books and toys for children. It's an independently minded base for exploring the Granite Belt's wineries and cool-climate landscapes.
