Truffle Discovery Centre

Set on a working truffière at The Summit near Stanthorpe, the Truffle Discovery Centre offers visitors a ground-up introduction to truffle cultivation and production in Queensland's high country. The centre is both a retail space and an educational attraction, where you'll find interactive exhibits that let you see, smell and handle real truffles, learn about the region's truffle-growing industry, and sample a range of truffle-infused products. The facility also serves as the central training hub for Lawdogs Australia's truffle detection dogs, and during winter months you can book guided truffle hunts to see these dogs at work in the orchard. Free entry means you can drop in to browse the display truffière, explore the gallery, and taste products at your own pace.

The on-site shop stocks an extensive range of gourmet condiments—truffle oils, honey, salts, mustards, aioli and butter, plus Granite Belt Gourmet's locally made jams, chutneys and balsamics. Visitors regularly praise the generous tastings and the wealth of knowledge shared about truffle cultivation in the Granite Belt. The centre opens Wednesday and weekends during term time, and daily throughout Queensland school holidays, making it an accessible stop for anyone exploring the region's food trail.
